Operatives of the Nigerian Police Force have arrested one Tambaya Usman, for allegedly butchering his cousin brother to death with a machete after he caught him sleeping with his wife.


30- Year- Old Tambaya Usman was said to have been enraged after he caught his cousin brother naked on top of his wife, it was learnt that Usman angrily attacked the deceased with a machete he was holding and inflicted machete cuts on the deceased head which later led to his death.



The arrest was confirmed by the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Wasiu Abiodun. The Police spokesman in a statement released on February 24, revealed that Usman was arrested on February 1 2022. He revealed that Usman angrily attacked the deceased who was identified as Umar Usman, after he caught him having carnal knowledge of his wife. Usman was later arrested by the Police in Kagara Division.


During interrogations, Usman confessed to the crime and revealed that he had caught the deceased sleeping with his wife on different occasions in the past, he revealed that his parents and relatives had intervened on the previous occasions he caught the deceased sleeping with his wife, and that the deceased had even promised to desist from the act.



However, Usman revealed that he was very shocked and surprised after he returned home the day the incident happened, and he found the deceased making love to his wife inside his room, he added that he became very angry and attacked the deceased with a cutlass striking him several times on the head and inflicting serious injuries which eventually led to his death. DSP Wasiu Abiodun, confirmed the suspect' s story and revealed that he would be arraigned in court for culpable homicide.
